Upcycled Shag Jacket

DIY Colorblock Shag Jacket

I love when a good upcycle comes together!

If you have an interest in making something old new again, upcycling is for you.

I'm not going to lie. Making this jacket too me a long time but it was worth the wait. This jacket is giving!

Here's how to do it!

Supplies:

1) a crocheted shrug top (I bought my shrug at a local thrift shop)

2) acrylic yarn (I used 4 large bundles to make it extra thick and shaggy)

Instructions:

1) Cut your acrylic to be the same size by repeatedly wrapping it and cut on one side. I wrapped by yarn around a book.

2) Put the cut ends together and take the other end of the yarn to loop through one crochet hole. Make an extra tie so it doesn't come undone. Don't worry about trying to fill every single hole because that's not necessary. You can make it as thick or thin as you want.

I would recommend that you handle with care and very gently wash it.

Let me know what you think!
